Rayston Proof Foam Aluminium on an irregular roof

Rayston Proof Foam Aluminium

Engineer notes. Not a blog. Rayston Proof Foam Aluminium is spray foam plus a hybrid polyurea. It is a low-traffic roof, not a terrace.

Specify Rayston Proof Foam Aluminium as insulation and a membrane together. Krypton magazine NUM.5 (October 2025) names the French Embassy in Athens. The kit is Rayston Spray Foam 50W plus Impermax Polyurea H Flex (hot-spray hybrid polyurea). Therefore the specifier writes both layers.

01

What Rayston Proof Foam Aluminium actually covers

NUM.5 calls this the option for large roofs with irregular supports and little traffic. Catalogue 2024 lists Rayston Spray Foam 8W / 30W / 40W / 50W among polyurethane isolating foams. The membrane on the card is Impermax Polyurea H Flex. The magazine cites ETE 16/149 and asbestos encapsulation to UNI 10686:1998 on this system. Keep those marks on the system the magazine names. Do not move UNI 10686 onto a 1K roof coat.

This is not Polyurea Rayston X5 (expandable polyurea) even though the catalogue also writes X5 for irregular decks and asbestos. Use the commercial system printed on the job. Also, low traffic is not a pedestrian terrace. See the asbestos application when encapsulation is the declared use.

However, foam thickness is a thermal clause. Membrane thickness is a waterproofing clause. Read both from the current TDS. Do not invent kg/m².

How to write Rayston Proof Foam Aluminium

First, name the irregular, low-traffic roof. Then name Rayston Spray Foam 50W and Impermax Polyurea H Flex in one sentence. After that, cite ETE 16/149 and UNI 10686:1998 only as the magazine prints them. In addition, size the area on the calculator after the sheets are read.

See Impermax Polyurea H Flex, thermal and acoustic insulation of roofs, asbestos encapsulation, industrial roofs, and documents. Area: calculator.

Outbound reference: EOTA — European Technical Assessments.

A skyline photograph is not a thickness. Keep Rayston Proof Foam Aluminium on the two names the magazine pairs.

Therefore consumption stays on the current sheets. First name the foam. Next name the hybrid polyurea. After that open documents. Also keep this card off a sports floor.

These notes do not replace the current TDS, SDS or a written specification. For pack sizes, mix ratio and kg/m², read the current sheet, then the calculator.
