2K mix errors
Engineer notes. Not a blog. 2K mix errors fail in the pot. Off-ratio mixing leaves uncured film. Unscraped sides leave uncured film. Splitting a kit without weighing both components leaves uncured film. Therefore mix the whole kit to the A:B on the current TDS.
Where 2K mix errors show up in the catalogue
Catalogue 2024 marks many membranes 2K. Impermax 2K. Impermax Aqua 2K. Impermax Cold Polyurea. Polyurea Rayston (pure polyurea). Impermax Polyurea H (hot-spray hybrid polyurea). Rayston Floor bodies. Krypton ProLine primers and top coats.
1K membranes still have an overcoat window. Impermax (one-component moisture-cured polyurethane, 1K PU), Impermax ST, Impermax QC, Acrimper and Impermax Aqua are 1K. 1K is not a licence to ignore the sheet.
However, the calculator on this site sizes area. Mix ratio and pot life stay on the current TDS. Also, do not invent a kilogram rate here.
How the specifier treats the kit
First, name the kit. Then require the whole pack. After that, send the applicator to the current sheet. Read consumption from the current TDS, then the calculator.

A leftover A or B in the pail is still part of the kit. Scrape it in. Then mix.
Therefore the current TDS remains the source for mix ratio, overcoat and consumption. Then the calculator sizes the area. However, a number invented here would be a specification error. In addition, the application page is the schedule. First name the exposure. Next name the commercial product and the chemical type in the same sentence. After that, open documents. Also keep the finish on the same clause as the body. A sample, a colour or a photograph does not replace that sentence.
