Radon gas barrier with Impermax 2K M

Engineer notes. Not a blog. A radon gas barrier is a named 2K membrane. It is not a generic foundation paint.
Write a radon gas barrier on the membrane Catalogue 2024 marks that way. Impermax 2K M (two-component solvent-free aromatic biobased polyurethane) is printed as an excellent radon barrier. It is a liquid-applied continuous elastomeric waterproofing membrane, resistant to medium-light pedestrian traffic without a topcoat. Outdoors, an aliphatic topcoat is recommended. Protection and repair of concrete is written to EN 1504-2. Therefore the specifier writes commercial name and chemical type in the same sentence.
Where the radon gas barrier is written
The waterproofing catalogue schedules foundations and radon-gas barriers as a chapter. Radon is odourless, colourless and highly mobile. Several membranes are certified as protective barriers against radon under the Technical Building Code of 27/12/19. Impermax GC (thixotropic polyurethane-bitumen) and Rayston Spray D50 also sit on that foundations page. Primer GC (epoxy primer for difficult or damp substrates) and Humidity Primer (epoxy primer for residual moisture) are the primer names. Do not swap them.
However, Polyurea Rayston (pure polyurea) remains a different lining. WRAS stays on drinking-water tanks, not on this radon card. Also, do not invent kg/m². A figure taken from another membrane is a specification error. Read mix, overcoat and consumption from the current TDS, then the calculator.

How to specify a radon gas barrier
First, name the buried face and the radon exposure. Then name Impermax 2K M (two-component solvent-free aromatic biobased polyurethane). After that, keep the aliphatic finish on the same clause where the sheet requires it. In addition, size the area on the calculator once the sheet is read.
See Impermax 2K M, foundations and radon-gas barriers and documents. Area is sized on the calculator.
Outbound reference: CEN-CENELEC — EN 1504-2.
A foundation photograph is not a radon mark. Keep Impermax 2K M on the barrier. Keep WRAS on potable tanks.
Therefore the current TDS remains the source for mix ratio, overcoat and consumption. Then the calculator sizes the area. However, a number invented here would be a specification error.
These notes do not replace the current TDS, SDS or a written specification. For pack sizes, mix ratio and kg/m², read the current sheet, then the calculator.
