01 · Project overview
What is this project?
In 2023, Swimming pool waterproofing was made with Polyurea Rayston.
This one is pool waterproofing.
Polyurea Rayston is hot-sprayed. It gels in about four seconds and the usual build is 1.5 to 2 mm.
Krypton Chemical makes the resin. The crew on site applies it. On Swimming pool waterproofing the details have to get the same film as the open field, and the cure has to finish before the building goes back to work.

02 · The challenge
What did this structure ask of the system?
A pool stays full. Chlorine, warm water and the step edge all sit on one lining. The open floor is the easy part. The skimmer, the outlet and the floor-to-wall corner are where linings open.
Swimming pool waterproofing has to turn those corners in the same film, and it should not be filled early.
03 · The solution
Which system was trusted here?
The system trusted here is the one named for the job: Polyurea Rayston. It is chosen because it matches the substrate and the exposure, not because every building wants the same can.
The build-up is there to survive the exposure this structure actually has, including the lines where workmanship usually goes thin.
04 · Application
How is the system built?
Where the system is Polyurea Rayston, the concrete or the prepared deck is not sprayed over dirt. Pull-off should be at least 1.4 N/mm2. Cracks are cut out and filled. Moisture in the concrete stays under 4 percent, with the concrete between 10 and 40 degrees C. If the slab is damp behind, two coats of epoxy primer go on, the second blinded with quartz. That bond is what stops a blister when the deck heats up.
The spray is hot. Resin about 65 degrees C, isocyanate about 75 degrees C, hose about 65 degrees C, and at least 140 bar at the gun. The usual build is 1.5 to 2.0 kg per square metre, about 1.5 to 2 mm. Gel time is about 4 seconds at 25 degrees C. Typical elongation is 324 percent and tensile strength is 16.2 MPa. Those are the product’s figures, not a thickness measured on Swimming pool waterproofing. An aromatic film shifts colour in the sun, so an exposed face takes an aliphatic topcoat. A buried lining does not need that coat to keep its strength.
On Swimming pool waterproofing the lining is under water for months at a time. Steps, skimmers and the floor-to-wall corner take the movement and the chlorine together. A joint left in one of those lines will open. The film has to turn the corner at the same build as the floor.
Old tile, where that is the substrate, is a special case. The glaze is a closed face. It is prepared until the resin has something to hold, and every loose tile is out before the primer. Encapsulating a drummy tile is how the lining comes back up in the first season.
Filling waits until the cure the product asks for, not until the pool looks finished. Early water is a soft film and a blister. The outlets are sprayed or rolled into the same film, not collared afterwards.

What does a job like this stand behind?
Swimming pool waterproofing has one standard. The coating is still doing its job after the building is back in use, at the details as well as in the middle.
Figures for cure, thickness and strength, where they are given, come from the product data sheets. They are not a test cut out of this building.
What this asks of Swimming pool waterproofing is workmanship at the difficult line. The open field is the easy part of a resin job. Outlets, edges, penetrations and changes of plane are where thickness goes missing, and where water or wear finds the gap. The same products and the same care belong there, and the cure is allowed to finish before the building goes back into use. That is the difference between a coating that was simply applied and a system that stays in service.

Swimming pool waterproofing. the place named on this project
When was the work done?
2023.
Which products were used?
Polyurea Rayston.
Why are the details done first?
Outlets, upstands and joints are where water gets in. They are closed with the same system as the main area.
Where do the cure times come from?
From the product data sheet. They describe the resin, not a clock stopped on this site.
The programme does not change because the building is smaller or further away. Prepare the substrate until it will hold the system, close the details before the field, and keep the thickness honest at every edge. A second visit to repair a starved detail costs more than doing that detail on the first day. Swimming pool waterproofing is held to that standard. Krypton Chemical supplies the resin. The applicator owns the surface.
