02 · The challenge
What did this structure ask of the system?
SPAR supermarket cool roof, Xeraco has to do two jobs. It keeps the rain out, and it keeps the heat of the sun off the rooms underneath. A dark membrane in full sun becomes a radiator. A light, reflective face is part of the waterproofing, not a paint added for looks.
The deck still moves between afternoon and night. The membrane has to stretch with it, and the outlets and parapets have to be in the same film. A cool roof that is thin at the edge leaks, however white the middle is.
03 · The solution

04 · Application
How is the system built?
