Italy PV cool roof Impermax Plus

White cool roof in Italy with dark photovoltaic panels, Mediterranean city and mountain, specified with Impermax Plus

Engineer notes. Not a blog. Flat roof in Italy with photovoltaic panels. Italy PV Impermax Plus (magazine Impermax-family 1K PU system) plus Colodur Pigmented white (aliphatic polyurethane, SRI 105) is the named cool-roof stack.

Italy PV Impermax Plus is the magazine name for the Impermax-family one-component polyurethane roof system applied over old asphalt on a flat roof in Italy with photovoltaic panels. Therefore the specifier writes Impermax Plus (magazine 1K PU system) and Colodur Pigmented (one-component aliphatic polyurethane) in the same sentence. Impermax Plus is not a current catalogue SKU. Keep the current Impermax (1K PU) sheet on the clause.

What Italy PV Impermax Plus re-used

The old asphalt fabric stopped acting as the waterproofing membrane and became the vapour barrier of the system. That re-use is a project note. It is not a new liquid. Magazine NUM.2 prints an SRI of 105 on Colodur Pigmented white. The cool-roof finish is there so the panels run cooler. Do not move that SRI onto a dark hybrid.

However, do not invent kg/m². Do not treat Impermax Plus as Impermax 2K (two-component hot-spray polyurethane). Read the current TDS, then the calculator.

See Italy PV Impermax Plus on PV roofs, cool roofs and documents.

Outbound reference: CEN-CENELEC.

First, name the old asphalt as vapour barrier. Then name Italy PV Impermax Plus. After that, name Colodur Pigmented white.

These notes do not replace the current TDS, SDS or a written specification. For pack sizes, mix ratio and kg/m², read the current sheet, then the calculator.
